SCGA WOMEN’S AMATEUR QUALIFYING AND CHAMPIONSHIP INFORMATION

 

The following information is subject to change due to the ongoing concerns with the COVID-19 pandemic.   Updated information will be provided leading up to each event.

 

7th SCGA WOMEN’S AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP:

Mesa Verde CC, Costa Mesa

June 28 – 29, 2021

CHAMPIONSHIP FORMAT:

  • 54 holes; stroke play.
  • 72 players, comprised of exempt players and qualifiers, will compete in the championship.

 

Monday, June 28: Round 1 (18 holes)

Monday, June 28: Round 2 (18 holes)

 

Following the second round, the field will be cut to the low 30 scores (and ties)

 

Tuesday, June 29: Round 3 (18 holes)

 

All non-exempt players will participate in an 18-hole, stroke-play qualifying round. The Championship will be a walking-only event. Golf Carts are only permitted during qualifying rounds.

 

QUALIFYING ROUNDS (18 Holes):

Wednesday, June 2: Arroyo Trabuco GC, Mission Viejo

Thursday, June 10: Brookside GC (Course #2), Pasadena

 

NOTE: Players may only attempt to qualify once.

 

ELIGIBILITY: This championship is open to female amateur golfers with a USGA Handicap Index of 9.4 or less at the time of registration.

 

EXEMPTIONS:

All exempt players must still meet eligibility requirements and register online for the championship prior to the entry closing date. The current list of exemptions can be found online by clicking here.

 

ENTRIES OPEN: Monday, January 4, 2021

 

ENTRY DEADLINE: Sunday, May 23, 2021

 

INFORMATION & PAIRINGS: Complete tournament details, including information about practice rounds, pairings, starting times, and yardages played, will be emailed and posted on scga.org/womensam after entries close.

 

ENTRY FEE: $125

 

LATE ENTRIES: The SCGA accepts late entries, assuming there is still space available at the given event. Late entries will be subject to an additional $20 fee and can only be processed over the phone or through email.  

 

REFUND POLICY: Requests for refunds prior to the entry closing date will be honored less a $10 administrative fee. Requests received after the entry closing date and 48 hours prior to the event will be honored less 50% of the entry fee. No refunds will be honored within 48 hours of the event.
